With a number of years behind me as chief and relief chief engineer working from mechanically challenging to technologically advanced boats I have a broad experience base from being a hands on mechanic and machinist to being a competent ETO/Electrician. I’ve had a lot of experience in relief roles, where being quick to pick up the ball and get things moving in varying situations is a valuable skill. I aim to get things done while onboard to hand over an engine room in good condition and up to date. I like to prioritise organisation and efficiency, I hold myself to a high standard and expect the same from the engineers I work with. I’m easy to get along with, a team player and happy to help out with all aspects of operation onboard. Outside of engineering I follow motorsports when I can, have built and competed in my own stage rally car and like to have some project on the go with either a car or motorbike at any given time. Currently I’m in the process of tidying up a Bentley as well as a bare shell restoration of a 1960’s Alfa Romeo. I’m an active person, play squash and cycle/snowboard/surf whenever I can find the time.
